2008年、ホロドモール発生75年を記念して、キエフにウクライナ飢饉犠牲者追悼記念館が開設。2010年には国立化され、「ホロドモール犠牲者追悼国立博物館(ウクライナ語: Національний музей «Меморіал жертв Голодомору»)」と改称された。一方クリミア半島の特別市セヴァストポリでは2009年にセヴァストポリ・ホロドモール博物館が開館したが、間もなく展示写真数点が1920〜30年代に起こったヴォルガ地方飢饉や世界恐慌時にウクライナ国外で撮影されたものの流用であることが明かされ問題となった[167]、[要出典]。なおセヴァストポリは2014年クリミア危機以降ロシアの実効支配下にある。
